The Oceanside Soo Bahk Do Institute is registered as a Non Profit Organization with the State of California under the name Moo Duk Kwan Inc. This registration enables the school to provide instruction in the martial art of Soo Bahk Do with affordable class fees. The school has neither employees nor owners, only students and teachers.

Originally opened in 1968, we have been a Certified Studio with the U.S. Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation since 1976 (Studio Certification SI-6), serving Oceanside, Vista, Carlsbad, and the surrounding North County San Diego areas.

Before and since that time, we have taught the art of Soo Bahk Do (Tang Soo Do) — a "Korean Karate" — as it was taught to us by our instructors and the Moo Duk Kwan Founder, Grandmaster Hwang Kee. We have had many fine students that have done well for the art, society, and themselves. These successes are our legacy and speak for themselves.
